In continued tribute to the late artist Ralph McQuarrie here is another rendition of his character drawings. This is based upon the Luke Skywalker image that featured in the same image that I based my Vader image from.

Tribute to the master...
Concept artist Ralph McQuarrie was the artistic force behind the look of the Star Wars universe who past away sadly on March 3rd.
So though it is late I am putting up my tribute to this great artist who shaped the world that I and many more have to come to appreciate. He is a great loss to this world but his works shall forever be greatly admired.

Back in the Studio

I have now returned to the studio back here in Plymouth, and whilst rummaging through my desk I found an old drawing I had done awhile back. So here it is at last with Vader and crew on the prowl for rebel scums! Enjoy.

Plans
Well so far im working on a comp for the group blog equine cranium, where this weeks project is film posters and im doing empire strikes back with presenting a comp as my final as what i would want to do as a final would take longer than a week especially as i have other things to do in my life. Also gonna put out there that I'm gonna be doing 2 maybe three projects over the summer them being the star wars project that i mentioned though im not sure i may still go through with that and the other two are both comic book projects one being a western story and the other a detective story though that will be done during my third year at uni but i am gonna start with the necessary research.

Anyways here is a photo of the progress of my comp so far, and I'm quite pleased with it so far. Quite inspired by Drew Struzan's own rendition of the same film.
The cowboy story is yet to be finalized but i shall be getting on it at some point, maybe either later in the week or next week i should have a story by then till then stay tuned for more developments.
