Lost World

It's the return of me and Space Hamster. A little rusty and need to get back into the swing of things with my illustrations. Sorry I have been gone awhile but I am hoping to be posting on here more often. Though some good news to share is I am now working on two comic projects and could be doing an internship at a local art studio. So things are looking a little better then they were a few months ago.

Game of Thrones

Just did a character drawing of Daenerys Targaryen from the epic TV show 'Game of Thrones' for the new challenge with Knights Of The Round. I do feel I went over board with the blacks on this one, so the dragons feel quite obscured.
If you are curious to see other artists portrayals of your favourite 'Game of Thrones' character then check out the blog here http://knights-of-the-round.tumblr.com/

Creative CV

It has been a crazy few weeks that I had to put illustration on hold to go apply for jobs. Anyways I am trying to get work experience with a University with their creative departments. However it occurred to me that I don't really have a creative CV, and so here are the results of me making one. It did involve a little bit of graphic design but I am sure the illustration aspects will shine through strongest.

Overall I am quite pleased with the results, and am delighted to see that I subconsciously created a little narrative too.

I have been quite bad with keeping myself up to date on the blog so after I sort myself out I'll be right back on it, and hopefully 'The Shadow of Steel' project will pick up again too and maybe I'll have it finished soon.

A Shadow of Steel

It's been awhile since I last posted up stuff, so here is a little something on a project I'm working on. I am collaborating with the 'Final Frontier' comic shop in Plymouth (again) to make a possible series of self published comic books. So far it's been an interesting project and challenge. It has been too long since I wrote my own stories so it's been hard getting back into the swing of things, but I think we have an interesting story to start things off. If there is any feedback you want to give me in relation to the compositions then please feel free to leave a comment.
I should also point out that as it doesn't have any text yet on the pages it would be hard to understand what is going on. Though once the script has been tweaked the second dummy book will have text incorporated with the images. Hope you enjoy.

Happy Valentines Day!

What can I say, this image speaks for itself so Happy Valentines Day y'all!

Stoker.

Hey folks, just a little message for today. I have submitted a design for the Stoker film post card competition being held by Talent House folks. Having watched the trailer myself I found the film very compelling and instantly went to work on getting a conceptual design for the poster. You can view my design here via this link  to talent house website and I would be really happy if you could vote for me too, I would truly be appreciative for your support. You can also leave a comment underneath the page too. I hope you enjoy the image and thank you for your time.

Closing date for the voting is the 11th February 6pm.

A story about freedom.

Below here are some pages from my sketchbook that have inspired a tale of sorts about surviving against the odds, freedom and finding a friend featuring the space hamster. More to come soon so stay tuned.
